It’s September so try an attacking formation. Play 3142 or 433(4).
If you want to stay 4231 then play 9 Players in Box, all CAMs stay forward and GIB
Work rates are also important. High attacking players will make far more runs than medium attacking players, especially since manually triggering runs is so hit and miss and connection dependent.
When looking at a player tap l1 and it’ll trigger them to make a run, creating more space for attacking.
