I clicked play offline, had to go through a couple prompts from the most recent update again but then it let me find games like normal. Try that.

From an email I got from Innersloth this morning:
We’d just like to take a moment to list the top 7 concerns we’ve received since our update, along with some troubleshooting tips:
1. Missing DLC/Purchases – Make sure that you clicked “Proceed” in the “Redeem Purchase” pop up before you start linking accounts. If the “Redeem Purchase” pop up did not show up for you originally, please note that this was fixed and that you should try again.
2. Intentional disconnect/Banned in the game- Fixed for Steam, Epic, and Android. iOS and Switch versions are currently being fixed, so please stand by for the next patch that we will release soon. For now, you must wait for the banned duration to end so you can play again. You can also check our Twitter and Discord for new announcements.
3. Reliable packet – This is usually due to a poor internet connection. Please ensure that your connection is stable; if it isn’t, you may need to reboot your router.
4. Black screen – We are aware some people are experiencing this issue. Potential fixes will be released in the upcoming days.
5. “Want to continue in offline mode” pop up – Clearing the game cache/data can fix this issue. Also, please make sure your app is updated to its latest version.
6. “You were banned for hacking. Please stop.” – Don’t worry – you’re not actually banned. This is due to an automated system and does not prevent you from joining other lobbies. We are already looking for more info on this bug.
7. Did not receive purchased stars – Please restart your app and make sure it is updated to its latest version.

A friend told me that there had been a renewed interest in the game since the latest update so the servers were scratched, especially at popular times. Last week we had to swap regions and have different people try to log in – took us about 10 minutes to get a game up.

They should have just stuck with among us 2 where they could more easily improve servers
I’ve been having this but only on Android, the computer version was fine
after acount update among us is not fun aymore
